Anywhere, anytime, we can feel the urge to go use a bathroom, even in the mall, public park, or even workplace. As in the workplace’s bathroom case, it may vary from one office to another.

An office may have separated male and female bathroom, but some may also only have single bathroom so you have to share with other workers. Therefore, it is very important to learn proper bathroom etiquette in the workplace so you can share the bathroom properly.

The first bathroom etiquette in the workplace you have to remember is to keep the bathroom clean. Since the bathroom in the workplace is meant to be shared with other workers, so you have to also considerate other users as well. It is very important that you make sure the bathroom is still clean for the next user after you.

For example, if you splashed or spilled water onto the bathroom floors or counters then you should clean it up. The same goes in case you have used the toilet. Make sure to flushed it completely and keep the seat clean for the next user.

The second point to remember of bathroom etiquette in the workplace is to always keep your hand clean. Remember that you use workplace bathroom not your house bathroom so you have to keep the facilities clean and healthy for other users. By washing your hands or clean them up with hand sanitizer will help you prevent from spreading bacteria or other illness. It is also recommended that you soap your hands for fifteen to twenty seconds then rinse them with warm water. Afterward, you can dry your hands with tissue or hand dryer.
